In January 2019 Skye2 Farm was awarded a grant funded by NC Tobacco Trust Fund Commission to create a lavender garden venue.

The goal of this project is to increase our lavender production while also creating a venue space for unique outdoor events and ceremonies within the garden.
We are essentially building circular raised beds rows with a small stage in the center and a 1/4 pie slice left open to seat people for wedding ceremonies
The Ag Options Grant is designed to help small farmers diversify their farms in creative new ways

With roan mountain in the background and 500 new lavender plants attracting bees and butterflies it will be a new and unique way to share our farm with the community here in the high country
